What We Love About This Recipe!
Chex Mix is always popular at any family gathering, and this sweet holiday Chex Mix is perfect for Christmas! This is over the top and super fun, which the kids all love! This recipe makes a lot so use the biggest mixing bowl you can find. It’ll still all get eaten too!
How to Make:
Cereal: First up in this holiday Chex Mix recipe you’ll mix together the cereals in a large mixing bowl (extra large, this recipe makes a LOT!) along with the animal crackers. Toss those together until they are mixed.
Syrup: Now you can start drizzling the maple syrup over the cereal and animal cracker mix. Try to do it evenly and then give it a good toss to make sure as much of the mix is coated in the syrup as possible.
Helpful Tip!
It’s important to toss the cereal with the syrup before moving on to the next step with the almond bark. The almond bark will get funky if you try combining it with the maple syrup.
Almond Bark: You will need to melt the almond bark first. The microwave is the quickest and easiest method, so grab a microwave safe bowl and start melting it in 20 second intervals, stirring each time, to be sure it doesn’t burn.
When melted pour it over the holiday Chex Mix and give it a good stir.
Now start sprinkling on the powdered sugar! It’s going to start sticking to the syrup and almond bark so be sure to give the bowl another good toss while adding the sugar to make sure the mix gets fully coated.
Mix-Ins: Now you can start adding all that other great stuff like the pretzels, chow mein noodles, and caramel corn.
And of course don’t forget to add the Christmas themed goodies like red and green M&Ms, sprinkles, and mini marshmallows! Assuming there is any room left in the bowl you can add all the other goodies you want!

FAQs:
I suggest storing in a sealed container such as mason jars, sealable plastic containers or gallon size Ziplock bags at room temperature up to 5 days.
Any kind will work! The mini pretzels are probably best just because you are already going to be adding so much other stuff.
Definitely! The best thing about Chex Mix is that you can add so many different things to it. And the best thing about this sweet holiday Chex Mix is that there are lots and lots of different sweet treats that can be mixed in. Use your favorite candies, sprinkles, and crunchy snacks to make this how you’d like.
