Cookie dough dip for dipping your cookies? I challenge to think of anything more delicious.
Yeah. You read that right. Chocolate. Chip. Cookie. Dough. Dip.
You should probably just go get your fat pants on right now.
I made this a few weeks ago for a game night with my brother-in-law and his girlfriend. We devoured it.
Then I made it for another game night with my other brother-in-law and his wife. We devoured it again.
Cookie dough dip is perfect for parties
Now? My children ask for it every day. They want it for lunch, please. Of course, sometimes they eat a real lunch. Common requests are pretzel sliders, the “gobbler”, or the super popular pretzel hot dogs.
This dip is super easy to whip up and it really does take like a chocolate chip cookie. The brown sugar and vanilla are so yummy.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- 1/2 cup butter softened
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup miniature semisweet or milk chocolate chips
- 3/4 cup finely chopped pecans optional
- Graham crackers or sticks for dipping
Instructions
- In the bowl of your stand mixer, beat together the cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add in both sugars until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes (or longer) before serving.
- Serve with graham sticks or crackers. Apples would also make a good vehicle for this dip!

Ive wanted to try this dip (similar recipes that I’ve seen all over) but I’ve read some reports that it tastes like cream cheese, not really cookie dough. I have nothing against cream cheese! at all! but I am hoping for a true cookie dough experience. Thoughts?

My question is – how do you even POST about this stuff when you are not eating sugar? I couldn’t do it. You have amazing will-power!!! LOVE!
Karly says
@Deborah,
Oh no. I have HORRIBLE willpower. I made and photographed this a couple of weeks ago. I haven’t baked ANYTHING since I cut sugar on 4/9/12 . I have 2 recipes left to post and then we’ll be in trouble. There are a few low carb dinner recipes I’ll probably share (recipes that even non-low carb people will like) and then I’ll take a day off to cheat and bake bake bake. Or quit this stupid low carb thing altogether. Haha!
Honestly, I only promised myself I’d do this for 2 full weeks to see how much weight I could lose. So far, I’m not losing much at all, so I don’t know how long I’ll stick with it after the 2 weeks are up. :/
But, thanks for the nice comment. 😉

I love cookie dough dip, and even more so with the addition of pecans.

I once made chocolate cookie dough dip, but it was a little different than yours — the main ingredient was garbanzo beans. It was… disgusting.
Needless to say, yours looks better.
P.S. Here’s how mine came out! http://classygallie.com/2012/02/23/im-bringing-evil-to-tomorrows-potluck/

Allie, that is too funny!!

I made this tonight along with 5 (yes FIVE) other dips for my sister’s birthday party… this was…OK. Until I added 3/4 c. of flour and 1 t. of salt. NOW it tastes like cookie dough. I don’t care about the raw flour. It’s good!
