♥ 3 Reasons You’ll Love This Recipe:
It’s incredibly easy. Stir, mash, taste, and done. You’re only a few minutes away from greatness.
It’s LOADED with blue cheese. Not just a hint or a crumble of flavor here. We’re talking big, bold, blue cheese flavor!
Better than store-bought. Creamier, tangier, and way more customizable than the stuff from the store.
Swaps & Tips:
- Whole Milk vs Buttermilk. This recipe uses whole milk and a splash of vinegar but you can swap in buttermilk if you keep it on hand. It’s a great way to use it up.
- No vinegar? Lemon juice, or apple cider vinegar if you don’t have white distilled vinegar, will both work just fine.
- Fresh is best but dried works too. You can substitute the fresh parsley for a ½ teaspoon of dried parsley instead.
- The perfect consistency. Pop it in a blender and blend it until creamy if you like. We prefer it chunky, but you do you. Want it thinner? Add more milk a tablespoon at a time.
How To:
Add the crumbled blue cheese to a bowl with the milk and vinegar and use a fork to mash it together until creamy.
Add the remaining ingredients to the bowl and stir well to combine. Taste and adjust the seasoning to suit your tastes.
Serving Suggestions:
This blue cheese dressing is basically magic sauce for turning simple ingredients into actual meals:
Buffalo everything. Toss with shredded chicken for wraps, drizzle over buffalo cauliflower, or use as the base for buffalo chicken dip.
Salad game changer. Makes any basic salad feel like a restaurant Cobb salad. Especially good with crispy bacon and hard-boiled eggs.
Veggie dip upgrade. Slice up some carrots, celery, and bell peppers and get to dipping.
Burger and sandwich topping. Spread on our buffalo chicken burger, use in our buffalo chicken salad, or drizzle over grilled chicken sandwiches.
Storage:
Fridge: Store in a mason jar or airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Give it a good stir before each use!
Freezer: Not recommended! The mayo would separate and it just would not hold up well in a freezer.
