Let’s all just agree on one thing…
Nothing beats pasta for dinner. Especially not a pasta with million dollar in the name. IYKYK.
We’ve made million dollar mac and cheese, million dollar spaghetti, and million dollar baked tortellini. What makes them all worth a million bucks?
The INSANE layer of cheesy goodness in the center. It’s made with cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese, which might sound a little crazy until you try it. I’m telling you…absolute perfection!
This baked ravioli is no exception. Your family will love this one and it’s pretty simple to throw together. Let’s do it!
Million Dollar Ravioli Ingredients:
Frozen Beef Ravioli – Honestly, any type of frozen ravioli would work well here.
Marinara Sauce – We use and love Rao’s Marinara, but use your favorite sauce.
Cream Cheese
Sour Cream
Cottage Cheese – Don’t worry, it’s not going to be chunky or weird. The cottage cheese melts right in.
Garlic
Garlic Salt
Shredded Mozzarella
Shredded Parmesan
Parsley
How to Make:
Pasta: While your oven is preheating, start by adding the ravioli and marinara sauce to a mixing bowl and stirring to combine. Pour half of the pasta into a 9×13 baking dish. The other half will be used to top the cheese mixture. This is definitely a cheesy ravioli recipe!
Helpful Tip!
Maybe you only have cheese ravioli in your freezer? No problem! You can always cook some ground beef and stir it into the marinara sauce. Or just use cheese ravioli and make this a vegetarian casserole. You can’t go wrong with MORE cheese.
Mix: In a separate mixing bowl add the cream cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, garlic, and garlic salt. For best results use an electric mixer until it is smooth and creamy. When it is all mixed go ahead and start spooning it evenly over the top of the ravioli in the baking dish.
Topping: Now that you’ve got the cheese mixture added, we’ll top it off with the remaining pasta and… MORE cheese! I’m not kidding around when I say this is worth a million bucks. 😉
Spread the remaining ravioli over the cheese mixture evenly and then top with the shredded mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
Bake: Cover the baking dish in foil and bake for 45 minutes. At that time go ahead and remove the foil and finish baking for another 15 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and dig in!
FAQ’s:
Nope, that’s the beauty of this dish! Just toss your frozen ravioli right into the baking dish and proceed as directed. It’ll cook perfectly in the oven.
We haven’t tested this with fresh pasta, but I believe it will work just fine! You might decrease the bake time to 30 minutes covered and 15 minutes uncovered.
Swap out the beef ravioli for cheese or mushroom ravioli.

I have been making a similar recipe since the 1960’s when my brother’s Italian Grandmother make this dish for my Dad from her fresh marinara sauce and fresh home made ravioli’s. The rest of us got stuck eating a horrible ham dinner. I now make it with the cheese ravs from Costco and add two sauted 3rd pound hamburger patties, that have been cooked with minced garlic and grated onion, between the layers or ravs a sauce. Will have to try your recipe too. Thanks for posting it.
