Red Velvet Cake Mix Donuts – And a Valentine’s Day Party!

Red Velvet Cake Mix Donuts And a Valentines Day Party! recipe
Ahhhhh, love.

It’s a beautiful thing. And it just so happens that I love you guys.

I know…awwwwwkward. I hate when someone random tells me they love me. You’re practically required by law to say it back, whether you mean it or not. I usually just say “me too!” So lame. It makes me feel like my 8th grade boyfriend.

Red Velvet Cake Mix Donuts And a Valentines Day Party! recipe

It’s almost Valentine’s Day though and I made these absolutely perfect donuts that will rock your socks. They’re pretty much only Valentinesy because they’re red, but you guys…that’s how I roll. Cut something into a heart shape or dye it pink or red and there you go. Perfection.

I don’t know about your kids, but mine adore red velvet everything, so these were a perfect treat for them! Not to mention, I ate two myself. Whoops.

Girlfriend – I get all nervous about this kind of deal because I’m afraid to do it wrong then someone will hate me forever. Do we need to link back? And if so, to whom? Sometimes it’s nice just to add a link without worrying and I assume that is what this is since it’s more of a party but if I’m wrong will you tell me? I’d hate to be rude? Gack, it’s hard work being awkward :)

Oh, we didn’t even address the issue of linking back! Normally, these link things do require a link back, but on this one, I’d say just add your project/recipe and you’re good to go! :)

I’m pretty awkward myself, so I feel ya. ;)

Love your donuts! I have about 1/3 cup of leftover buttermilk to use up! And cake mix in the pantry. I’m assuming this makes about 6 donuts? We don’t need tons! lol

I am all about red velvet lately! Mostly as a vehicle for cream cheese frosting. You just can’t go wrong there.

    (Psst – LOVE YOU.)

Great minds think alike! I had plans to make red velvet cake mix donuts for my blog this week too! I was waffling between dipping them in white chocolate or doing some kind of cream cheese frosting, but am leaning more towards the cream cheese frosting too.

Wooow. The donuts look really delicious and what immediately came to my mind looking at the pictures is the gift I’m gonna give to my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. I’ve made a private booking for one of the courses organized by Zac’s cooking school here in Vancouver – cooking classes for couples and your recipe will most certainly be among the first ones we’ll try together. So it fits in perfectly with my romantic plans. :)
