Red Velvet Cake Mix Donuts – And a Valentine’s Day Party!
It’s a beautiful thing. And it just so happens that I love you guys.
I know…awwwwwkward. I hate when someone random tells me they love me. You’re practically required by law to say it back, whether you mean it or not. I usually just say “me too!” So lame. It makes me feel like my 8th grade boyfriend.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day though and I made these absolutely perfect donuts that will rock your socks. They’re pretty much only Valentinesy because they’re red, but you guys…that’s how I roll. Cut something into a heart shape or dye it pink or red and there you go. Perfection.
I don’t know about your kids, but mine adore red velvet everything, so these were a perfect treat for them! Not to mention, I ate two myself. Whoops.
I’m co-hosting a Valentine’s Party with 8 other fabulous bloggers! This means that if you link up your project to any one of our blogs it will be seen by a whole boatload of readers! Not a small boat, either. One of those big giant cruise ships. Maybe even the entire cruise ship fleet? Who can say, really?

These look SOOOOO good. I never get tired of red velvet anything, especially if it’s in donut form!
Girlfriend – I get all nervous about this kind of deal because I’m afraid to do it wrong then someone will hate me forever. Do we need to link back? And if so, to whom? Sometimes it’s nice just to add a link without worrying and I assume that is what this is since it’s more of a party but if I’m wrong will you tell me? I’d hate to be rude? Gack, it’s hard work being awkward

Oh, we didn’t even address the issue of linking back! Normally, these link things do require a link back, but on this one, I’d say just add your project/recipe and you’re good to go!
I’m pretty awkward myself, so I feel ya.
Incredible party ! So much to see
Thanks for being part and hostess of this great link up !

You had me at red velvet. But throw in donuts too and I’m all over it! These look great Karly, and my boy would go crazy over them too.

Delicious looking donut recipe…following you on FB, now!
Love that you made these out of cake mix! Such a quick and easy recipe to make a morning special. This is the perfect excuse to break out my muffin pan.
I am all about red velvet lately! Mostly as a vehicle for cream cheese frosting. You just can’t go wrong there.
(Psst – LOVE YOU.)
Love me some donuts! These red velvet ones are almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
Great minds think alike! I had plans to make red velvet cake mix donuts for my blog this week too! I was waffling between dipping them in white chocolate or doing some kind of cream cheese frosting, but am leaning more towards the cream cheese frosting too.
Yum! Yes, please!!
I wanted to let you know that I featured this deliciousness today in my “What I Bookmarked This Week” post – stop by and see!
Wooow. The donuts look really delicious and what immediately came to my mind looking at the pictures is the gift I’m gonna give to my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. I’ve made a private booking for one of the courses organized by Zac’s cooking school here in Vancouver – cooking classes for couples and your recipe will most certainly be among the first ones we’ll try together. So it fits in perfectly with my romantic plans.
