So, the other day I went out to dinner with my husband. He always makes me order first so that he appears all gentlemanly to the wait staff, but dude. When we’re home alone he calls me names and pinches my butt.
He’s only a gentleman in public.
It’s all an act. And I just thought the world should know.
So, anyway, there we are, ordering our dinner. I go for broke in the calorie department (as per usual) and order buffalo chicken strips and extra crispy french fries with ranch dressing to dip it all in.
I’m such a dainty eater. Obvi.
So, then my husband orders. “I’ll have a salad, please.”
Oh, please. A salad? If I served a salad for dinner there would be a serious hissy fit happening at the table from one un-gentleman-like grown man. But, sure, go ahead and order a salad while we’re out for dinner and I order man food. That’s perfectly fine. I don’t mind at all.
See? I told you the gentleman thing was all an act.
I love him anyway, though, so I made cookies. They’re gluten-free, too, if you’re into that kind of thing.
