We call these Maid-Rite burgers after a local restaurant, but they're more commonly referred to as loose meat sandwiches. Whatever you call them, they're delish!
Place ground beef and seasonings into a large skillet and brown the meat, crumbling it as it cooks, over medium heat until cooked through. Do not drain fat.
Pour the beef broth into the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes or until the liquid has evaporated.
Taste the beef and season with additional salt, if needed.
Spoon the beef onto buns and top with pickles and mustard.

Notes
Beef: We usually like a fattier beef for burgers, but you can use lean beef if preferred. Buns: We really like sesame seed buns here, but any soft burger bun will do. To really take these over the top, butter the buns and toast them in a hot skillet. Worth every second!!Cheese: These are great with a slice of American cheese on top. I like to spoon the hot beef onto a toasted bun and top with the cheese and then wrap in foil for a few minutes to let the cheese melt into the beef a bit. An extra step and not necessary, but worth it!
