Ingredients

  • 1 cup salsa jarred or homemade
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • For a chunkier texture, add the salsa and cream cheese to a mixing bowl and stir well to combine. For a smoother texture, add the salsa and cream cheese to a food processor and process until the mixture is as smooth as you'd like.
  • Refrigerate for 1 hour to let the flavors meld and the mixture thicken up a bit.
  • Remove from the fridge, stir, and top with minced cilantro before serving.

Notes

Our homemade restaurant style salsa is a favorite, but you could use store bought salsa as well.
We've certainly had our fair share of moments where we're just desperate for chips and salsa and we skip the refrigeration period. The dip is more runny this way, but it's still delicious.
Cilantro is optional. Leave it off if you're allergic or just not a fan.
