Cheesy, spicy, and topped with tots! This is such a fun twist on the classic tater tot casserole. You can easily adjust the spice level to your family's tastes.
Place a 12-inch oven safe skillet over medium heat. Add the cream cheese, wing sauce, and 2 tablespoons of the ranch seasoning to the skillet and stir until melted and combined.
Remove from heat and stir in the chicken and vegetables. Stir to coat in the cream cheese mixture. Spread mixture evenly across the skillet.
Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
Top with a single layer of tater tots and sprinkle remaining ranch seasoning over the tots. Spray liberally with oil spray to help the tots crisp up as they cook.
Bake for 30 minutes or until tots are crispy.
Notes
For a spicier casserole, use Frank's Red Hot Sauce in place of the wing sauce and add cayenne as desired. For a milder casserole, reduce the wing sauce to suit your tastes. If you don't have an oven safe skillet, make the filling in your skillet and then transfer the mixture to a 9x9 baking dish before topping with the cheddar and tots.We use around 16 ounces of tots - just enough to cover the casserole in a single layer. Spraying the tots with oil spray will help them crisp up even more as they bake.
