Ingredients

  • 10 medium strawberries
  • 1 1/2 cups seedless cubed watermelon heaping
  • 1 lime
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup lemon lime soda
  • sugar for rimming the glass
  • lime wedges for garnish

Instructions

  • Add the strawberries, watermelon, juice of the lime and ice to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Add the soda, stir to combine, and serve in a sugar rimmed glass with a lime wedge.

Notes

Alcohol: Yes, we definitely love turning this little mocktail into a cocktail! Two ounces of coconut rum or lime/strawberry/watermelon flavored vodka is pretty perfect.
Texture: You'll end up with some strawberry seeds and a bit of texture from the watermelon after you blend this all up. We've tested this recipe by straining the liquid through a fine mesh strainer before serving and honestly, we don't think it's worth the extra step. If you're really averse to floaties in your drink, go ahead and strain it. If you don't mind it, don't bother.
Soda: We like about half as much soda as strawberry watermelon juice, but you can definitely double up on the soda and it'll have more lemon lime flavor and less strawberry watermelon flavor.
