Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butterscotch sauce more to taste
  • 2 shots espresso
  • 8 ounces milk any variety
  • whipped cream optional

Instructions

  • Add the butterscotch sauce to the bottom of your mug and brew the espresso directly over the top. Stir well to melt the sauce into the espresso.
  • If making an iced latte, fill the glass with ice and pour the milk over the top. Add the espresso and stir well. Top with whipped cream and serve.
  • If making a hot latte, steam the milk (or just pop it in the microwave for to heat it up) and use a frother to froth it. Add the espresso to your mug and pour the steamed and frothed milk over the top.

Notes

Sweetness: I don't love a super sweet latte, but maybe you do! Add more butterscotch sauce to taste.
Line the cup: Warm the butterscotch sauce and drizzle it around the inside of the cup for extra sweetness and to make a pretty coffee-shop looking latte.
Make it an Americano: Use equal parts espresso and water to make an Americano. I like to add a splash of cream to mine.
Frother: I love this little milk frother. I use it to froth the milk, make whipped cream, and make cold foam. (Cold foam is just equal parts milk + cream and a splash of vanilla syrup. I just eyeball it.)
