Beer Cheese Dip

Just 4 ingredients to make this simple, creamy, cheesy dip! It's perfect with soft pretzels, crackers, and fresh veggies.

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • 1/3 cup beer
  • 1 packet ranch dip mix see note

Instructions

  • Add all of the ingredients to a small bowl and stir well to combine.
  • Serve immediately with crackers, pretzels, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
  • Store tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

We like Hidden Valley products in our house, but take note that the seasoning and salad dressing mix has half the sodium of the dip mix. We prefer the bolder flavor of the dip packet, but if you're sensitive to salt you may opt for the seaoning and salad dressing packet.
We like a pale ale or pilsner in this recipe. A darker beer will add a stronger flavor, if youp prefer that.
I love this served cold with pretzels and chips, but you can also warm it on the stove, in the microwave, or in the crockpot for a melty cheese dip.
