For the donuts: 1 1/3 cup Red Velvet dry cake mix 1/3 cup buttermilk 1 tablespoon oil 1 large egg beaten For the frosting: 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1 tablespoon heavy cream 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a donut pan with non-stick spray.
In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the donut ingredients until well combined.
Spoon the donut batter into the donut pan.
Bake for 10 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched.
Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
To make the glaze, beat together all of the glaze ingredients until light and fluffy.
Spread on the cooled donuts.
Serve immediately.
