These Red Velvet Cake Mix Donuts are a breeze to make and sure to make anyone fall in love on Valentine's Day morning! Slather them with cream cheese for an extra dose of love!

Ingredients

For the donuts:

  • 1 1/3 cup Red Velvet dry cake mix
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 large egg beaten

For the frosting:

  • 4 ounces cream cheese at room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a donut pan with non-stick spray.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the donut ingredients until well combined.
  • Spoon the donut batter into the donut pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes or until donuts spring back when touched.
  • Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • To make the glaze, beat together all of the glaze ingredients until light and fluffy.
  • Spread on the cooled donuts.
  • Serve immediately.
