This avocado salad dressing packs a punch of flavor from the cilantro and lime. It's full of healthy fat from the avocado and adds a delicious Southwestern twist to any salad!
1cupbuttermilkmore to reach the desired consistency
1/4cupcilantro
1/4cupparsley
1tablespoonfresh dill
1limejuice of
2clovesgarlicchopped
1teaspoononion powder
1teaspoonchili powder
1teaspoonsalt
Instructions
Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh from the skin.
Add to a blender along with all of the other ingredients.
Blend together until smooth and creamy. Taste and season with additional salt or lime juice, as needed.
Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
Keeps in the fridge for 3 days.
Notes
This dressing will be pretty thick as written. Add additional buttermilk or water to thin it out to reach your desired consistency. We like it thick for a dip, but thin it out a bit to use as a dressing for salad.
