Start your day off right with a nutritious fruit smoothie! We mix strawberry and pineapple together in this recipe to make a sweet and fruity breakfast smoothie. It's just as good in the afternoon or evening too!
If using fresh strawberries, wash them well, and hull the strawberries. If using fresh pineapple, remove the peel and core, and chop into small chunks.
In a blender, combine the strawberries, pineapple chunks, Greek yogurt, honey, pineapple juice, and ice cubes. Most blenders work best if you add the liquid first, then yogurt, and then the fruit.
Secure the lid on the blender tightly and blend the ingredients until smooth and creamy. If the consistency is too thick, you can add more pineapple juice to reach your desired thickness.
Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey if necessary. Blend again briefly to incorporate any additional ingredients.
Pour the smoothie into glasses and garnish with strawberries and pineapple.
Notes
If using frozen strawberries or pineapple, you can cut the ice cubes by half.Feel free to customize this smoothie by adding other fruits such as banana, mango, or kiwi for additional flavor dimensions.Adjust the sweetness according to your taste preference by adding more or less honey or using ripe, naturally sweet fruits.
