Creamy Chipotle Sauce

This sauce is very similar to the Taco Bell creamy chipotle sauce. It's rich and creamy with a nice balance of spice thanks to the chipotle pepper in the sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons chipotle sauce
  • 2 teaspoons lime juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise and whisk together until smooth.
  • Add the chipotle sauce, lime juice, salt, and paprika. Mix until well combined.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour before serving for the best flavor.

Notes

Whisking together the sour cream and mayo before the other ingredients will help prevent any lumps in the sauce.
If you can’t find chipotle sauce, add all of the sauce ingredients + 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce to a blender and blend well. The sauce will be spicier if using a pepper instead of the sauce, so adjust accordingly. F
For best flavor, let the sauce sit in the fridge for an hour or two before serving for the flavors to develop.
