Pimento Cheese Sausage Balls

Sausage balls have always been a favorite snack, but we gave them a little Southern twist by adding our homemade pimento cheese to the mix. It keeps the sausage balls so moist and flavorful!

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
  • Add the sausage, Bisquick, and pimento cheese to a large bowl and stir well to combine. If mixture is too moist to form into balls add up to an additional ½ cup of Bisquick.
  • Use a medium cookie scoop to scoop out even portions of the sausage mixture and roll it into balls. Arrange on prepared baking sheet about 1 ½ inches apart.
  • Bake for 14-16 minutes or until cooked through.
  • Serve hot or at room temperature.

Notes

We highly prefer our homemade pimento cheese over store bought, but you can use store bought if necessary.
Depending on the brand and how thick the pimento cheese is, you may need more or less Bisquick. Recipe was tested using our homemade pimento cheese. We like our sausage balls to be a bit moist, so we use the least amount of Bisquick as possible. If the mixture is too wet to work with, add additional Bisquick a little at a time until you're able to roll into balls.
Use a roll of hot sausage if you’d like to spice these up.
