Chocolate Frosting

 My mama’s chocolate frosting recipe has been a favorite of my family’s for as long as a I can remember! Just be warned – you’ll all be fighting over who gets to lick the bowl!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips milk chocolate or semi-sweet

Instructions

  • Add sugar, butter, and milk to a small saucepan over medium heat and bring to a rolling boil, stirring often.
  • Boil for exactly 60 seconds and remove from heat.
  • Stir in chocolate chips and continue stirring until the chocolate has melted.
  • Use frosting immediately as it will harden quickly. 

Notes

Makes about 2 cups of frosting and will frost a 9x13 pan of brownies.
