Toffee Crunch Donuts
I hope you enjoy this fun treat! I'd recommend serving these guys for dessert or an afternoon snack. They might be a little on the sweet side for breakfast, but then again I don't usually like sweet stuff in the morning, so what do I know?
Servings 6 servings
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream or milk
- 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
- Pinch of Kosher salt
Chocolate Sundae Topping
- 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Cream the butter, powdered sugar, cream, caramel sauce, and salt together until light and fluffy.
Frost the tops of the cooled donuts.
In a small sauce pan, melt together the chocolate chips, butter, and oil over low heat. Stir constantly and remove from heat as soon as everything is melted and combined.
Use a spoon to drizzle the chocolate topping over the donuts.
Sprinkle the toffee pieces over the top.
