Save the oven space for the turkey! This sweet potato casserole is made in your slow cooker and it's absolute side dish perfection!

Ingredients

  • 2 29- ounce cans sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Drain the juice from the cans of sweet potatoes. Add potatoes to a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the milk, melted butter, maple syrup, eggs, cinnamon, and salt to the bowl and mix on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the mixture to a 6 quart Crock-Pot® slow cooker.
  4. To prepare the topping, mix together the brown sugar, pecans, flour, and butter until well combined.
  5. Spoon mixture evenly over the potatoes.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and set to high heat. Cook for 3 hours.
  7. Serve hot.
