What’s Cookin’ Wednesday #156
Let’s talk about spicy food for a minute, shall we?
I’m really curious how you feel about it. I’ve always liked a little bit of heat. I love dipping my grilled cheese in hot sauce and I absolutely can not eat a taco without a major dash of Cholula. But, when my mouth really burns, I turn into a big ol’ crybaby. And if my lips start burning? Forget it. I’m done.
But, I hate that! I want to love spicy food – like REALLY spicy food. And so I’ve been working on it. I add just a little more heat than I’m comfortable with and I eat the food. And I enjoy it. And I’m getting to the point where I actually LIKE the burn. Like, it feels good? It tastes nice. It makes me happy.
So, I’m curious – do you guys like spicy food? Do you like when it makes your mouth burn? Do you have any desire to train yourself to eat things even spicier than you already do? Am I weird for wanting to do this?
