A while back I shared a little about ArchetypeMe, a website based on discovering who you are. I shared my predictions of what I thought my three archetypes would be and now I’m back to reveal whether or not I failed miserably or got them right! Before I dive into the quiz results, let me refresh your memory. An archetype, according to the website, “is a pattern of behavior. It explains who you are and how you engage with the world around you.” The archetypes listed on their website are Creative, Athlete, Rebel, Caregiver, Visionary, Queen/Executive, Spiritual, Fashionista, Advocate, and Intellectual. In my last post, I predicted that my archetypes would be the Queen, the Creative, and the Rebel. Well, last night I grabbed myself a glass of wine, I locked myself in my room, and I proceeded to take the ArchetypeMe quiz. I was instantly transported back to high school. Not because I used to take quizzes in class, but because I used to take quizzes in every single magazine I could get my hands on. I had completely forgotten how fun that was! I feel the need to stock up on teenybopper magazines now. Anyway, I took the quiz. It took less than five minutes and I instantly had the answers.

My top three archetypes were Creative, Caregiver, and Queen. I was so close to guessing all three, but I mistook Caregiver for Rebel! Which is kind of hilarious if you stop to think about it. Maybe I’m not a Rebel. I’m just a mom? I can’t decide if that’s depressing or awesome. Anyway, I created an account and started exploring. When you log in, you’re taken to your personal landing page with new content each day, tailored to your archetypes. If you find an article on the landing page that really resonates with you, you can add it to your personal “ME” board. You can also install a toolbar in your browser to add things from other websites to your ME Board! Your ME Board is shared with the community and is a great way to find others with similar archetypes. You can also add your friends from other social networking sites and discover more about who they are and what their archetypes are. All in all, it’s a very interesting experience!
