Because I Am Addicted To The Internet – Symantec Identity Safe {Giveaway!}

So, I don’t know about you, but I happen to like the Internet. Kind of a lot.

Here are my details: 2 blogs, 1 website, 1 personal Facebook account, 2 Facebook pages, 2 Pinterest accounts, 2 Twitter accounts, LinkedIn, Google+, and what am I forgetting? Forums that I’m a member of, banking sites, PayPal, eBay, Amazon, the list just keeps going on forever and ever, Amen.

I share those details with you so that you can get an idea of just how many passwords my brain is currently holding on to. Every month when I go to pay my credit card bill I panic just a little bit. Is it this password? Nope, must be this other one. Oh, wait, try this.

It’s frustrating and ridiculous and sometimes it makes me cry like a little baby.

Needless to say, I was thrilled when I was chosen to write about Norton Identity Safe. It’s a password manager, y’all. And it’s by Norton so I feel pretty safe using it.

Not only that, but it remembers the information that you fill out again and again at various websites, like your address, name, and phone number. All of those things that you type again and again and again until your fingers turn to bloody stumps.

It even manages your credit cards, you guys. Do you know what this means? It means that the next time I go to purchase something I won’t just decide at the last minute that I don’t really want it anymore because my purse is all the way across the room and I still haven’t memorized my credit card number. Just think of all the packages I’ll be having delivered!

I’ve been slowly but surely adding every single password I have to Norton Identity Safe and letting it do it’s magic. It’s amazing how much less frustrating this whole Internet thing has been these last few days. I didn’t realize how stressful it was trying to keep up with all of the passwords I had, but not worrying about it has been sorta awesome.

If you’d like to make your life a little more awesome too, head over to the Norton Identity Safe website and download the product FOR FREE. Yes, I said free.

Oh, and if you’re into free things, how about sharing a story about a time you forgot or lost a password and you’ll have a chance to win one of five Android Tablets (Samsung Galaxy Tab 2- 10.1-Inch, Wi-Fi) with Norton Mobile Security and Identity Safe installed! Just leave your story in a comment below and you’ll be entered in the sweepstakes.

Honestly, I have forgotten a specific instance, but I’m so thankful for “Forgot password?” because without that, I’d be in trouble ;)

I was just tired of losing my passwords and obviously you shouldn’t write them on a sticky and put it on the computer which is what I did.. Hello breached facebook account

From having to call my bank to reset a password to getting shut out of my work email address, I’ve had too many embarrassing password-forgetting moments to count!

I was on Amazon.com and already had stuff in my cart but it wanted me to sign in before I could check out. I had my password supposedly saved but it said it wasn’t right. I thought I knew it, so I plugged in what I thought was right but it said it was wrong too! I tried three more times with three different combos of the same letters/numbers and it finally took one. I still don’t know what one was right! LOL But I was able to check out!

I’ve had my email hacked as well as my iTunes account so I try to be vigilant about my passwords. But sometimes I just forget. It would be nice to have it easily accessible and safe.

I’ve been lucky since a friend told me about Roboform about 10 years ago. It’s been keeping my login and passwords safe and handy for that long. It also generates passwords for new sites.
    Thanks for the contest.

The time I cleared cookies, which cleared saved passwords, including email passwords, was not fun. Having to reset passwords via an email I couldn’t get into wasn’t an easy task…. :)

I’ve been locked out on using my debit card with the wrong pin while traveling on business and it’s next to impossible to get back until you go back home. I’ve been stuck in a long line of coffee once which was not fun!

I try to make hard passwords but always forget them so have to click on the forgot password button. Then I tried to put them down in code to prompt my memory but that doesn’t work.
