Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies look sorta familiar, right? Chocolate…peanut butter…cookie.

Hmm, didn’t I just share a recipe with those same ingredients?

Yeah, I totally did. But, you guys. There is no such thing as too many cookies and when you’re playing around with that chocolate peanut butter combo you can basically do no wrong.

So, I reversed the cookies I shared with you here. Flipped ’em inside out. Turned ’em upside down. I made a cookie u-turn, y’all.

Deep, dark chocolate on the outside with peanut butter chips on the inside.

Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies


1 cup butter, softened
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup cocoa powder
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon espresso powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups peanut butter chips
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips


Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
In a small bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, espresso powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until well combined.
Stir in the peanut butter chips and chocolate chips.
Drop by heaping tablespoonfuls onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for 9 minutes or until just set. Cool for a few minutes on the cookie sheet and then transfer to a wire rack.

    Karly! I’m dying. Not really, but like practially dying because chocolate and peanut butter are like my #1 love. These cookies look SO soft. And chewy! And i loooooooove how dark that chocolate is. Mmm can I have one?! Must, Make, Now.

    One can never have too many recipes that include both peanut butter and chocolate…that’s pretty much a law of science. Loving these!

    I made those cookies for a family re-union a few days ago, not sure why but the cookies remain in the shape I scooped them in when placing with a spoon rather then flattening a bit in the oven…

    BUT everyone loved them and thought they were ordered from a bakery or something. plus they were super easy to make so win-win regardless of the weird shape XD
